Privacy

Trust is part of the product. Here's exactly what happens to your data — in plain English.

Your searches

When you check a name, we look it up using registry data (RDAP), WHOIS, and DNS through our own service — not by sending your search to retail registrars. Registrars only learn about a domain when you click through to buy it. We minimize stored raw queries and never sell search data.

Clicking through to a registrar

“Get it” links go through a redirect on our server that adds any affiliate code and forwards you to the registrar. We record only which registrar and which extension (like .com or .io) were clicked — never the specific domain or your search — and we send no referrer.

Accounts & sign-in

Sign-in is passwordless: you give us an email, we send a one-time link. We store your email address to identify your account and a session record to keep you signed in. There are no passwords. We use a privacy-respecting email provider only to deliver that link.

Saved domains & shortlists

Before you sign in, your saved domains live only in your browser. When you sign in, they move to your account so they sync across devices — including any notes and tags you add. If you create a share link, anyone with the link can see that shortlist's domains (but not your private notes) until you turn sharing off.

Deleting your data

You can remove any saved domain at any time, delete your entire shortlist, or delete your whole account from the app. Deletions are permanent. We keep a minimal audit record of account actions (like sign-in and deletion) for security, with the user reference removed when an account is deleted.

The essentials

  • All traffic is encrypted.
  • We don't sell your data.
  • We rate-limit abusive automation.
  • We only collect what the features above need to work.
